Have your inference API key ready

Use a key with enough credit for a few test messages.

Add your key to .env.local

In ~/workspace/sideroom, add this line with your real key. Keep any existing lines.

AI_API_KEY=your_key

Keep the key out of Git and chat messages.

Start the local lab

Run npm run lab from the project folder. If it is already running, restart it after adding the key.
